The gains made last March by the Top 50 Pinoy Top Blogs (PTB) were sustained in April. Total unique hits (UH) and this month's hits (TMH) increased slightly, while the UH of the fiftieth blog remained a five-digit figure, which seems to confirm that from now on a Top 50 blog must have at least 10,000 UH per month to make it to the list.
Top gainers were last month's first-timer Naruto Blog, which claimed the 12th spot after a strong entry at 23rd; and ABS-CBN Kapamilya Aficionado, which made a steep climb to 29th from 45th. Newcomers who made significant debuts were Philippine e-Legal Forum (30th) and Davao Today (34th). Of the four blogs, it is only for the third that I have an explanation: "2006 Bar Exams: Results out." This amazing entry into the PTB Top 50, take note, was due to just one post. I wonder what would happen if a lawyer were to pick up on what I wrote in June 2006: "If someone were to write exclusively about the bar exams, for example, that would be wildly successful in my opinion."
