I can't quite believe this blog is four years old. The most remarkable thing about having blogged for so long is that sometimes Googling a keyword takes me to my own blog and I don't even recall anymore that I had actually written the post. And since I've pretty much said everything I could possibly say in past anniversary posts (see Six Months, One Year, Two Years, and Three Years), let me just quote now from my first anniversary post. After all, it's still all true:
A lot has happened to me in the past year. I would say that most, if not all, of the things that occurred in connection with my profession as a librarian would not have happened if I had not started this blog. I've learned a lot just by blogging. I've also met quite a few people—online and offline—because of this blog. And I've also felt good about comments posted here and elsewhere that let me know how the small change that I hoped would add up has, in fact, helped quite a few people.Whether you're a new reader or a loyal one, it would be nice to know how you got here, and if you've been around for a while, why you stayed =)
