We must stamp out the vestiges of analog thinking, in favor of the digital imagination. The analog values the logical, the sequential and the hierarchical. I have been informed that at a recent forum on the revision of the curriculum for schools of library and information science, a comment was made to the effect that librarians should concentrate on the library and just call in the IT experts when the need arises.
